In a recent 2019 article, it was reported that 2 in 5 Singapore employees had planned to switch jobs within a year’s time. The numbers are not surprising given the norm of switching roles in constant search of progression and improvement. If you are someone considering moving to another job, and would like to know more about the Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) industry, you are on the right page.
There is little information out there regarding HVAC careers and we have decided to shed some light for those who might be keen. If you enjoy being outdoors and dislike being stuck in an office, a HVAC career might be great for you. There will always be a demand for workers given that almost every building in Singapore has a climate control system – providing plenty of opportunities available in the HVAC industry all year round. 1) You Are Not Stuck in The Office
Tired of the mundane environment of desk-bound roles? If you enjoy getting out of the office every now and then for work, then maybe a HVAC career is worth considering. Depending on the nature of the service call, you will be able to work in many different places all around town, dealing with various HVAC systems. You will also get to meet and interact with different clients, partners, and stakeholders from time to time. A dynamic role with a change of environment almost every day.
2) Being a Problem Solver
With the CPF payouts starting from age 65, the average Singaporean will be in the workforce between 40 – 50 years which is likely to be most of your lifespan. Majority of people do not want to be a robot at work, slogging their lives out constantly churning out repetitive efforts on a day-to-day basis.
